What should a Baby wear in a Forest?

Clothing Concerns

Baby

What should a baby wear in a forest? Now here is a subject that does cause a person to ask a few questions. I suppose it would depend on a number of things. For instance; in what part of the world is the forest located? Is the forest where the baby is be susceptible to more rain than sun, or vice versa, more sun than rain? Is there a lot of humidity within the forest. Would the weather be susceptible to sudden change.

So I will start with what a baby should be dressed in, if the forest the baby was located was in the African rain forest. As I would be expecting a significant amount of rain, I would dress my baby in a suit which has a water proof jacket and trousers. I would also have to take into consideration that, it would be extremely warm. I would therefore put something under the rain suit in order that the baby stayed cool throughout the day.

If the forest was somewhere in the United Kingdom, and the baby was to be in the forest during the summer, then the baby would need summer wear. The baby would need to wear clothes such as shorts, t-shirt, socks and trainers (or sandals). A raincoat should always be carried just incase, as there is often spells of rain during the great British summer. It is also worth knowing that the weather in the United Kingdom can change from one minute to the next. So a change of clothes is always recommended for just incase.

However if it was winter in the forest in the UK, then warm baby clothes (Babykleidung) would be required, such as; trousers, jumper, socks, a fleece jacket with a hood on, a hat, gloves and a scarfe. A thick winter coat also should be warn, I always make sure that this has a brand name (Namensshirts) on it. Boots or Wellingtons for the baby’s feet should also be put on, these should have a fleece lining in them. Always make sure baby has on socks before putting their feet into boots or Wellingtons, baby will be more comfy this way.

If the baby was situated in a forest in Australia, then summer clothes should be worn. A sun hat is a necessity, as is sun cream. Sunglasses can also be taken to protect baby’s eyes from any glare from the sun. For baby’s feet – crocs are a good idea or some sort of other plastic shoe, these will protect baby’s feet from anything sharp under foot, but also will allow the feet to remain cool.

Certain forests in the world are susceptible to dramatic weather change, so it is always best to check out your destination before setting off. Baby may need with them two or three out fits a day if the weather decides to make a sudden change.

Before entering any forest with your baby, research should be done on the forest you intend to stay, so that you can go knowing you are prepared for any eventuality.
